biography

Richie was born on June 20, 1949 in the suburbs of Taskigi, Alabama.
Richie began his career as a musician in the solo band Commodores in the late 1960s where he was the lead singer and saxophone player.
The band initially signed a contract with Atlantic Records with which they released a debut album.
With the success of the debut album, tickets for performances by the band and singer Lionel Richie performing in all destinations began to sell out.
The band later signed a contract with record label Motown Records and also served as the Jackson band's warm-up band.
In the 1970s the Comodors became one of the most successful R&B and soul music bands.
Lionel Richie was responsible for the big hits of the band "Easy" and "Three Times a Lady".
Ritchie's success in composing songs for other musicians was one of the main reasons for the disbandment of the Commodore band.

Years of success

In 1975 Ritchie married Brenda, and in 1984 the couple adopted baby Nicole Ritchie, initially unofficially and only later officially.
In 1982, Richie embarked on a solo career with a debut album that reached number one on the US charts.

With medium-sized halls, Richie markets tickets to gigs in almost every hot destination.
His latest album, Coming Home, was released in September 2006.
Over the years, Richie has sold over 100 million albums, with 22 of his songs reaching the US Top 10.
